What is processed

When you send email or use the contact form, we process your name, company, email address, phone number, and the content of the message.

In a client relationship we also process the material the engagement requires, including bookkeeping records and documents related to tax matters.

Purpose and legal basis

Replying to enquiries is based on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)). The legitimate interest in enquiries is to answer companies and assess whether an engagement can be agreed. Carrying out an engagement is based on contract (point b). Bookkeeping and tax duties are based on a legal obligation (point c). Delivering this site and protecting it are based on the same legitimate interest: the page is delivered and the service is protected against misuse.

Retention

Enquiries are kept for as long as handling the matter requires. Accounting material is retained for the period required by the Finnish Accounting Act and other binding law.

Technical data from visiting the site

When a page is requested, the hosting provider Vercel, Inc. processes the connection data: IP address, date and time, requested address, and basic browser data. The purpose is to deliver the page and protect the service. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)). The legitimate interest is delivering and securing the site.

This site does not store those data in a separate log archive. Vercel keeps them only for as long as delivering the page and preventing misuse require, and deletes them when keeping them is no longer necessary for that purpose, unless the law requires longer storage.

Vercel, Inc.’s primary processing facilities are in the United States. A page request can be served from the European Economic Area, and the technical data can be transferred to the United States and to other countries where Vercel or its subprocessors operate. The safeguard for the transfer is the European Commission’s 2021 standard contractual clauses, Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914. This is set out in Vercel’s data processing addendum: vercel.com/legal/dpa.

Recipients

Data is not sold. Enquiry data is disclosed where the law requires it, or where the engagement requires it, for example to authorities because of a filing duty. Email is handled in the email service the company uses. Technical data from a page request is processed by the hosting provider Vercel, Inc.

The form on this site, and cookies

The contact form opens the message in your own email program. The site is static and does not store the form. The site does not use tracking cookies or analytics.

Your rights

You may request access to your personal data, rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, and objection, and you may request portability where the law provides these rights. Send requests to support@helsinginlaskentatoimi.com.
